Pradhan Mantri Karam Yogi Maandhan Scheme (PMKYM) – National Pension Scheme for Traders & Self Employed Persons

The Government of India has introduced a new Pension Scheme for Retailers and Small Traders namely ‘Pradhan Mantri Karam Yogi Maandhan Scheme’ in Union Budget 2019.


  • Pension of Rs. 3000/- per Month (After 60 years of age)
  • Voluntary and Contributory Pension.
  • Govt. of India will pay same contribution
  • Monthly contribution Rs. 55-200/-
  • This scheme is managed by LIC-India


  • This scheme is only for Retail Traders and Small Shopkeepers.
  • Entry age between 18-40 years
  • Applicant’s Annual Turnover should be below 1.5 Cr.
  • Should not be the member of EPFO, ESIC, NPS or PM-SYM
  • Should not be an income taxpayer.

Requirements for Enrollment:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Savings Bank Account.
  • Mobile no.

Rest will be on self declaration.
